At Salon Yotsuba, I teach Gendai Reiki.
Gendai Reiki is based on the philosophy of Mikao Usui, the founder of Usui Reiki Ryoho (hand-placement therapy). Gendai Reiki is not a new system of Reiki, but rather a restructuring of Usui Reiki with the rationale of Western Reiki so that people of today can practice it easily.  The purpose of Reiki is not merely to heal. With mental and physical health as the starting point, it is intended to raise your vibration so that you do not resonate with disharmonious vibrations of illness, worry, anger, and anxiety, and to make your life more peaceful, fulfilling, and meaningful. My encounter with Reiki
I have worked in a variety of fields, including tourism, English teaching, commerce, and construction. After getting married, I participated in community activities and volunteered as a childcare worker at the city hall while raising my children. In the midst of all of this, I was constantly searching for the right fit, wondering what I was living for and what I wanted to become. I also spent my days struggling with relationships and the difficulties of raising children.

My children are very sensitive and their siblings are close in age, so it was difficult when they were very young. I am a methodical person, so I didn't get enough sleep, and I was tired, really tired.

My immune system must have been compromised. I also suffered from children's diseases such as chicken pox, hand-foot-and-mouth disease, and full-body urticaria. When my body was tired, I would become mentally irritable. It was then that I came across Reiki.

Changes after starting Reiki

I was skeptical at first, but on the day I learned it, I tried Reiki on my children and my older son, who has a hard time sleeping, fell asleep within 3 minutes. I also tried it on my husband, and his snoring stopped.
More than anything, I felt that my body and mind were healed by putting my hands on myself.

Reiki therapy promotes the flow of Ki in the body, improves blood circulation, raises body temperature, strengthens the immune system, and prevents illness. I also became less prone to illness.
When my children were young, it was difficult for me to take time for myself, and I had only a few places I could go with them. Reiki healing, which I can do anytime, anywhere, with my own hands and without any tools, is very helpful for both my children and myself.

Since I started Reiki, I have been enjoying the wild flowers along the roadside, looking at the sky, feeling the wind, and sensing the scent of the season. Before that, I had seen the sky, flowers, and scenery, but not truly looked at them.
Now, just walking down the street makes me happy. Reiki does not make dramatic changes or miracles in everyday events, but how we perceive them changes our lives.
When I first encountered Gendai Reiki, I started with my mental and physical health.

Later, as I practiced Reiki daily, I learned that we already have everything and we just need to be aware of it, instead of looking for something outside.

Be with Reiki

I used to want to be someone else, I used to seek something outside, but it was all within.

Realizing that I am already happy.
I believe that Reiki is not something that deepens all at once, but a gradual process.
I teach Reiki at community centers, social gatherings, as a volunteer, and through my own experience of giving Reiki to my family, parents, neighbors, and friends around me.
I hope that my students will continue to use Reiki in their daily lives and be able to resonate with it on a daily basis. I would be happy if the circle of light of Reiki spreads.
Little by little to those who have an opportunity to be a part of it....

Would you like to start Reiki life for yourself, your family, and your loved ones?
I look forward to a wonderful Reiki connection with you.
